Marcel “Otto” Yon is CEO of the Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub. During the last 16 years, Yon built several start‐ups, mainly in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence, two of which he exited via stock markets.

 

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he was executive director of a private research & development center in artificial intelligence at University of Bochum and executive at investment bank Lazard advising on mergers & acquisitions and privatizations.

 

He co‐founded the Entrepreneurs Organization in Europe, the world’s largest entrepreneurs’ organization, as well as the German Start‐up Association. Yon studied business administration at University of Göttingen, UCLA, Berlin Institute of Technology and ESCP. He grew up in Germany and France.
